October 4: World Animal Day
A day to promote greater responsibility toward animals
World Animal Day is celebrated on October 4 each year.
This day was established to promote the protection of animals and raise awareness of their importance and the rights they should have.
It is an opportunity to reflect on the relationship between humans and animals and to promote responsible behavior toward them, such as adoption, the fight against abandonment, and the importance of conserving endangered species. But there is another important factor to consider.
Have you ever thought about the quality of the air your pets breathe, especially when they are inside the house?
What do our animals breathe inside the house?
Pets can be particularly sensitive to household pollution, including air pollution.
Our pets such as dogs and cats can develop respiratory problems and allergies due to air pollutants such as dust, toxic fumes, and chemicals in detergents. Our 4-legged friends are constantly in contact with the floor and therefore more exposed to fine particulate matter; this condition can compromise their health.
To protect our pets’ health, it is important to maintain a clean home environment, use non-toxic products, and monitor what we breathe inside our home walls.
